Methodism began as a renewal movement within the Church of England. As with other Christian denominations, we believe in God as Trinity – that we experience God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Bible is key to our understanding of God though we also recognise the place of Reason, Experience and Tradition in helping us to understand God’s world.
We emphasise that everyone is loved by God and we try to live our lives in response to God’s love, made known to us in Jesus.
